Gusau, 5th July 2024 – The Zamfara State Government has announced that Monday, 8th July 2024, will be observed as a public holiday in celebration of the Islamic New Year, 1st Muharram, 1446AH. This declaration was made by His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, following the state's tradition of recognizing significant Islamic events.
In a statement released by the Ministry for Internal Security and Home Affairs, the governor extended his heartfelt wishes to the Muslim community, encouraging them to embrace the new Islamic year with happiness and joy.
